At Sterisol's factory in Vadstena, we manufacture our products under strict hygiene control in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Our operations are also certified according to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015. Parts of our factory meet the requirements for ISO 8 cleanliness class.

MDR – Medical Device Regulation

MDR – Medical Device Regulation

The new regulation for medical devices (MDR) came into effect in May 2021. The change in the new regulation means that the previous Medical Device Directive (MDD) is now MDR, transitioning from a directive to a legal requirement. MDR sets higher and clearer requirements for manufacturers to provide users with safe and effective products. The regulation also clarifies the obligations of importers and distributors. We are proud that Sterisol's quality system for the manufacturing of medical devices complies with MDR Regulation (EU) 2017/745.

Upcycle

Upcycle

In some of our products, we use so-called "Upcycle raw materials," which means upgrading waste into something new and more exclusive. For example, we use recycled corn cob as a friction medium in our SUPER hand cleaner.

The Nordic Swan Ecolabel

The Nordic Swan Ecolabel

The Nordic Swan Ecolabel is a Nordic environmental label that can only be obtained if all parts of a product's life cycle meet the high requirements from raw material to waste. Miljömärkning Sverige (Environmental Labeling Sweden) therefore controls everything from ingredients and their origins to sustainable production processes and low environmental impact packaging. They also continuously tighten the requirements, which means that those who want to meet the criteria with a product must constantly improve their environmental work. These parameters are carefully measured, and new criteria are evaluated and revised based on new knowledge, technical development, external feedback, and experience. At Sterisol, we consciously and proactively strive to meet the Swan label criteria for products where possible. This way, you can be sure that the product is truly environmentally sustainable in all aspects. The Nordic Swan Ecolabel criterias are formed from a life cycle perspective. Read more

The EU Ecolabel

The EU Ecolabel

The EU Ecolabel, or EU flower as it is also called, is an environmental label that is common throughout the EU. Just like the Swan label, the EU Ecolabel is independent and reviews the entire life cycle of products from a holistic perspective. They also continuously tighten the requirements, which means that those who want to meet them with a product must constantly improve their environmental work.

Allergy Certified

Allergy Certified

Allergy Certified is an international label that ensures that products do not contain any known allergens and that the ingredients are not allergenic. They must also not be carcinogenic or disrupt hormones. The requirements to meet all these aspects are high, and therefore, a consciously skin-friendly agenda is needed to achieve them. From the beginning, we at Sterisol have had a stated goal of offering skin-friendly products, and that is why we work to meet the criteria of Allergy Certified. When you see the Allergy Certified label, you can be confident that the product contains only the most skin-friendly ingredients and is fragrance-free.

Vätternvårdsförbundet

Lake Vättern Society of Water Conservation

We are a member of the Lake Vättern Society of Water Conservation, which aims to preserve Lake Vättern as a clearwater lake, its commercial and recreational fishing, and the quality of the water catchment area. These goals are also important to us and for sustainability in a broader national perspective. Therefore, we engage as members of the association to help secure the good water supply and ecosystems in our local area.

Halal-certifiering

Halal-Certification

Halal Certification Europe's (HCE) Halal certificate ensures that a product has been inspected and complies with Islamic laws. The certificate confirms that the manufacturing of the product's contents, packaging, and transportation comply with Islamic rules. Sterisol's ethanol-based hand sanitizers meet Halal requirements.

Dermatologiskt testad

Dermatologically tested

All our products in our range are dermatologically tested by an independent laboratory according to approved standards. This means that the products are safe because the test results on humans show that their skin tolerates the product. The test results demonstrate that our products are skin-friendly, gentle, and do not irritate the skin.

Natural Origin

Natural Origin

At Sterisol, we always consider both the skin and the environment when choosing raw materials and ingredients for our products. Many products are made with ingredients of natural origin. This means that the ingredients are cosmetic ingredients with at least 50% natural origin, not of fossil origin. When you see the Natural Origin symbol, you can be sure that a large proportion of the ingredients are of natural origin.

Preservative-Free

Preservative-Free

We always minimize unnecessary additives and avoid preservatives in our products, which gives them a range of beneficial properties. Preservatives are a factor in the onset of allergies and eczema. In Sweden, 4-6% of the population is allergic to preservatives, and more than 20% have dry or sensitive skin. Preservatives also have a certain environmental impact, making it a good reason to choose preservative-free skincare at work.
