Sterisol reached a milestone right from the start when the company was founded in 1977. That’s when we introduced the market’s first disposable soap system — the Sterisol System.
Behind our system and its unique airtight dosing valve lies several years of development, driven by a strong commitment to improve the everyday lives of those who need to wash at work. By creating an air- and bacteria-proof system, we were able to offer liquid soap without preservatives as early as the 80s.
The Sterisol System also revolutionized waste reduction, with packaging that empties up to 99%, significantly reducing environmental impact compared to other packaging types.
Although our products are available in around 25 countries worldwide, the Sterisol factory remains in Vadstena, on the shores of Lake Vättern. Here, we develop and manufacture nearly all our products from scratch, rigorously testing them before, during, and after production to ensure they meet the highest standards.
Sustainability - for people, the environment, and business - is at the heart of everything we do, driven by the dedicated people who work here. Our products are created by people, for people, with a deep commitment to both quality and the environment. Nothing is left to chance.
With over 50 years of experience in sustainable skin care, we have solid knowledge about the needs of different industries, environments and professional groups.
We might just have the most beautiful view in Sweden’s manufacturing industry from our factory windows. Perhaps it’s both the stunning surroundings and the proud Sterisol spirit that make many of our employees stay for years - and attract new talent to join us.
But being close to the water also comes with a responsibility. That’s why we are members of the Vättern Conservation Association, working to help safeguard the region’s water supply and ecosystems for the future
